The voyBoys and voyGirl of voyurl

Hey There!

We’re the folks behind voyurl. We came together and formed like Voltron to solve a big problem for all us little people.

Adam Leibsohn

adamAdam has worked in marketing and digital strategy for almost a decade. He cut his teeth building businesses and working on award-winning campaigns for some of the biggest brands in the world. Then, he realized it would be more fun to make something amazing for you! He believes that our future lies in data and that it should be our right to have control of our own data. He also thinks that, these days, the tech and platforms we use make us do too much of the heavy lifting for them. If we want to build a better web, we have to build trust into every product that’s made. He decided to be proactive about it by starting voyurl.

Adam’s from Kansas City but now lives in New York. He’s got an unhealthy obsession with limited edition sneakers, running, biking, all things design, and other people’s dogs (since he doesn’t have one). www.voyurl.com/adam

Mike Khristo

mkMike is a seasoned startup vet with 15 years of tech innovation under his belt. He always swings for the fences and has the patents to prove it. What makes Mike tick is making products tick. Give him a terminal and a little time, and he can get it done. Mike believes that innovation should create positive change not just pocket change. He knows that big data will continue to be a big part of our future; and, he wants to help everyone get to know big data a lot better.

Mike was born in Germany, has lived in NorCal, and currently calls Marina Del Ray home (lucky guy!). When he’s not crushing it on the keyboard, Mike usually passes the time with his fiancé, Nat, and their awesome dog, Maxie. He likes sushi. He definitely likes sushi. www.voyurl.com/mike

Michael Hood

mhMichael has been capitalizing on his passion for making sense of data for more than ten years. Holding fast to his belief that patterns can be found in all the world's information, he pioneered new methods for data mining now widely used in the financial industry. Seeking ever-larger bodies of information to catalog, he turned his attention to peoples’ behavior and their interactions with the web. Go figure that once he came across voyurl, he was hooked. Before you can make use of big data, you have to make sense of it. And that’s exactly what Michael does best.

Michael hangs out in Columbus, Ohio but makes the occasional road trip out to Cali. When he’s not deciphering the Matrix, he’s relaxing with his lovely wife. He’s got a penchant for 10-gallon hats and has superhuman beard-growing powers. www.voyurl.com/michael

Sarah Aerni

sarahSarah’s a graduate student in Biomedical Informatics at Stanford University. She plays with data all day: images of glowing cells in microscopic worms, pictures of aged skin, cancer genomes, human genetic data... and now the URLs we browse. She’s always looking for opportunities to use what she’s learned in 23 years of school to solve practical, real-world problems. Sarah is driven to create something that people find useful and that simplifies their lives.

Sarah lives in cool and comfy Northern California. She’s keen on connecting with people, worshipping the sun, and feeding her senses... preferably with delicious food. www.voyurl.com/saerni

Ryan Katkov

rkRyan specializes in web design, brand identity, UI development, web development and marketing. He believes that design is crucial in telling any story... especially online. He also knows that design is integral in generating interest and leaving a lasting impression. If you don’t like to look at it, you won’t like to use it. So, it’s no surprise that Ryan is dedicated to making things that you like to look at and use.

Ryan spends his time out in Silicon Valley trying to stop the machines from taking over. When he’s not busy making awesomeness happen online, he’s offline, savoring the California sun and some small-batch bourbon whiskey. www.voyurl.com/ryan
